Suitable for all styles of window, including bays, pelmets can add an impressive and structured look to any room. They are also useful in covering unsightly tracks! We can make pelmets in any style or shape e.g. a small flat version to accompany a roman blind or a sweeping and elegant creation to dress a large Georgian window.
As with pelmets, we can shape and trim valances, swags and tails in many different guises. And as with all our work, our experienced fitters will ensure the finished products look and hang exactly as they should
Without headings, curtains won’t hang! They are the essential connection between the fabric and the tracks or poles.
Thanks to our definitive range of heading options, we can ensure you find the most practical and eye-catching hand-made choice to suit your furnishing style.
By far our most popular product, classically-styled pencil pleated curtains are extremely versatile. This type of heading is suitable for either tracks or poles, which allows for adjustment to the curtain width and drop once they have been made. If you are looking for a cost effective, simple heading style, pencil pleats are a great starting point!
For a contemporary feel, then eyelet curtains could be just the job. They have the advantage of gliding along any straight pole. Easy for every customer to install. All pole diameters can be accommodated, as our eyelets are prepared in our Sussex workrooms. Each eyelet metal pressed in by hand. Sizes available are 40mm, 50mm or 66mm diametres. We can coordinate your eyelet colour with your curtain pole, as we have a large range of colours available. If space is a concern, eyelets may be the answer, because they stack back tidily, this allows a greater view of the window, letting more light into the room.
A familiar and popular heading in many homes, traditional tab tops involve loops being attached to the top of the curtain, which are threaded along a pole. Since they have the tendency to slightly obscure windows, this type of heading is best accompanied with tiebacks or holdbacks. Again, poles only for tab tops, rather than tracks.
This distinctive style of heading is a modern take on the traditional tab. Instead of the tab hanging in loops from the top of the pole, the loops are sewn to the back of the curtain creating a slot heading that gathers in pleats away from the pole. They work nicely in combination with tiebacks. Suitable for poles only.
As a stunningly curvaceous option, Wave by Silent Gliss is a bespoke curtain heading system using specialised tape which is sewn into the curtain. This creates a streamlined, wave affect, with wave gliders completing the spacing of the wave, when the curtains are opened or closed. Very contemporary! Ideal for standard, bay, curved or bi-fold windows, or even as a room divider, it is available with manually, by cord or electric curtain track system.
It can be used with or without cording, or integrated within an electrical track system.
